The Silt Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred at a restaurant on Saturday night involving American representative Lauren Boebert and her ex-husband Jason Boebert.

Silt Police Chief Mike Kait confirmed the investigation to The Denver Post but stated that he couldn’t provide more details as the police are still gathering information.
On Saturday night, the police were called to the Miners Claim restaurant in Silt, but Chief Kait denied describing the nature of the incident or the allegations. He mentioned that the Silt Police Department would release a report on the incident once the investigation is complete.
Kait stated, “We have a lot of facts and items to resolve.” He clarified that nobody was taken into custody at the restaurant. In a statement to The Denver Post, Boebert stated, “This is a sad situation for everyone involved and another reason why I am moving forward. I did not punch Jason in the face, and no one was arrested.”
Boebert mentioned that she wants to consult with her lawyer regarding her ex-husband’s claims on Saturday night. Jason Boebert told The Denver Post in a brief phone interview that he called the Silt Police Department on Sunday morning and informed them that he did not want to press charges.
“I don’t want anything to happen,” he said. “We were working through a difficult conversation.” Without addressing further questions about what occurred, Jason Boebert concluded the interview.
Lauren Boebert, who represents Colorado’s Third Congressional District, filed for divorce from her husband in April, citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalized in October. The couple married in 2005 and has four sons and one grandson.
